Get Ready for a garden party!

During winter weather, it is possible the library may need to close. In order to determine if the library is open call 419-669-3415, if you get the answering machine we are closed. No fines will be added to patron files on days the library closes due to weather conditions.

Weston Public Library houses a local history collection that includes photographs, books, scrapbooks and old local newspapers on microfilm. Also available is an obituary file and scrapbooks containing obituaries of residents from local newspapers.

Our storytelling collection contains books, workbooks and bibliographies on storytelling for both beginners and experienced storytellers. We have a large number of collections of stories to tell, as well as cassettes and videos by well-known storytellers.

Every Library Needs Friends

Our Friends of the Weston and Grand Rapids Libraries are a dedicated group of people who provide volunteer support and raise funds for library projects. Annual Friends-sponsored events include book sales and a wonderful Holiday home Tour. Membership in the Friends is open to anyone who cares about libraries. There is no membership fee. WOOD COUNTY AND OHIO RESOURCES

Although we're an independant library, Weston Public library has a strong cooperative relationship with other Wood County libraries through a voluntary organization called WOODLINK.

The library is also a member of the library constortium, SEO (Serving Every Ohioan). Patrons may Inter-Library Loan items from all over the state.

The library also participates in various other regional and state library organizations and projects, including the Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN), a computer network linking all public libraries in Ohio.

Wood County Free-Net

Weston Public Library is pleased to be a hub for the Wood County Free-Net, providing toll-free access to local citizens through the library. The Wood County Free-net is an excellent source of information on the libraries, communities, people and happenings of Wood County, Ohio.

Outreach Programs

If you cannot come to us, the Weston and Grand Rapids Libraries will bring our services or resources to you.

  • Homebound service is available for seniors and others who are confined to their homes. A solid collection of books on tape and LARGE PRINT books are available.
  • Bookmobile services are provided to Haskins and Tontogany.
  • Any organization or day care center may request storytimes at their location provided by a library staff member.
