AR gives both students and teachers feedback based on the quiz results. The teacher then uses the results to help students set goals and direct ongoing reading practice. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. Does it sound hard? Not really if you think about it. If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around 5 years of age, you more time than you think (so get started). The key is perseverance. Make it exciting. When your child reaches every 100 books read level, bring your forms to the library for a small reward. When your child has read all 1,000 books before Kindergarten, bring your child and forms to the library for a very special reward. For further information and forms ask a Librarian! Teens Plugged In Use one of the library's docking stations to charge your devices. Plug into the internet using one of our computers or use the free WiFi.
